Launch Sites

On your flight date you will be called by our flight crew approximately one hour prior to when you are expected to rendezvous at the launch site. At that time the flight crew will advise you of the flight status, weather conditions, launch site location and meeting time. Please note that all flights, launch site selections, meeting times and weather decisions are made at the pilot's discretion.

There are three major launch sites in the City of Edmonton (see map right) as well as many other alternate sites. To see a more detailed map of any major launch site, click on any map shown below to the left of the description.

Drive into Whitemud Park off 119th Street south of the Whitemud Freeway. Follow the road into the ravine, but do not go under the freeway. Park in the parking lot to the left of the road. The launch site is the open field south of the parking lot.

Proceed down Buena Vista Road to the bottom of the hill at 132nd Street. Park in the parking lot to the south of that point; please do not park on the roadways. The launch site is the "NO EXIT" sign at the intersection of Buena Vista Road and 132nd Street. You will be chauffered to the launch site approximately half a mile north.

Park at the north end of the Muttart Conservatory parking lot at 97th Avenue and 96A Street. You will be chauffered to the launch site at Gallagher Park, approximately three blocks away.
